Start of another Week.....

Had a fabulous weekend....... spent Friday with my BFF, Tracy laughing so hard we could barely breath a bit of vino and an awesome supper prepared by her DH.  My hubby & I made it a movie weekend and just relaxed.

Here are a couple Valentines Day cards I created for my niece and nephew.  They are just getting back from warm sunny skies so wanted to surprise them with these cards with a gift card inside.

Still practicing with my copics............looking forward to attending some copic classes to get some tips and tricks........... Created this card for the House Mouse Challenge #62 which was a Valentines theme. The image was coloured using copics, cut with my nesties, glitter added to the flowers then finished with a brown ribbon and sentiment. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving Weekend. We are going to take it easy this weekend since we are heading to Vegas on Friday. My plan is to have the bags packed and all last minute type things done by Monday. I just like to be organized and not be rushed and stressed the day before leaving.
Created this card for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge and as well as for the House Mouse DT call. I think these little guys are just adorable. Stamped the image with versafine, coloured using my favourite prisma pencils, added glitter (of course) cut the image with nesties, added baubles to each corner and layered on DP circle and pale yellow base finished with 3 gems.

Love is in the Air!!

Today I am off to Stratford for a special day with my niece Taya as well as brother Dale and SIL Steph. Were stopping in London first to find some specific wine my brother has been looking for then to Moxie's for supper. The performance we are seeing is Westside Story which starts at 8:00. Stratford is one of my favourite places to spend time..... between the quaint little shops to tea houses it is just an amazing town.
Created this card for the House Mouse and Fresh & Fun 100th challenge. I coloured the image using prisma colour pencils, added stickles to the little berries and glitter pen to the leaves. All was cut out with my nesties and layered on some awesome DP on golden/orange base.
Well better be off to a fabulous day away.

Just call me "Grace"

Whaaa Hooo.... today I am starting a weeks vacation. We are not going away which is perfectly fine by me ..... just a few day trips here and there and hopefully a lot of stamping.

Just a short story about another one of my Brenda....isms!!! Thursday at work I was on a high realizing that just one more day and I would be off for a weeks vacation. So as I am talking with my bestest co-worker Janet, I decided to do a pirouette to show my excitement ..... so as I am doing my most graceful ballerina move my turn was just a bit too close to her desk and my arm caught the collection of pictures, knick knacks and name tag which all went crashing down. Luckily I did not break a thing which was completely amazing in itself and didn't get hurt other than my pride. I did get the knick name "Grace" for the rest of the day though.

On to my card ....... which was created for the House Mouse and the Color Throwdown challenge. Coloured up the HM image using my prisma pencils, added glitter to the icing, party hats and candles. The dark brown base was layered with striped DP paper, layered a strip of pink and green paper, green ribbon and finally metal corners.

Rainy Days = Crafty Days

I can honestly say I really don't mind rainy days because it slows down the pace around here and it gives me the opportunity to do some stamping.
The House Mouse challenge #47 this week was white on white. It really intrigued me so coloured up this cute little guy with my prisma colour pencils added a bit of glitter to the drinky poo in his hand and some to the water. Used my nesties to frame up the image and added pearls to each corners then embossed the first layer with my cuttlebug added a sparkly ribbon bow and taaadaaa!!!! Love this look so plan on doing a few more creations today with the white on white look.

House Mouse Challenge #38

Lazy Sunday........... ahhh yes nothing like a relaxing day doing alot of nothing. This has been one fabulous weekend. Weather has been glorious ............not alot on my agenda which means being able to do what I want and when I want.

This morning I checked out a few of the blogs I follow and decided to do the House Mouse Sketch Challenge. Is this not one of the cutest stamps....I think these little guys are adorable. Coloured the image using my prisma pencils and added a bit of glitter and assembled according to the sketch. Quick and easy.

This card came together so fast I am off to do some more creating............

House Mouse Challege # 29

Haven't had a lot of time to do much creating lately. Always seem to be behind the 8 ball trying to get things accomplished. Last week I missed the House Mouse challenge so today I rushed home from work to colour up an image and get it posted. Hope you enjoy!!

House Mouse Challenge #27

So happy it is the weekend. Decided to create this card for the House Mouse Challenge where chipboard was the secret ingredient. I can honestly say I seldom ever use chipboard but of course .....................HAVE SOME!!! Anyway I did manage to add two chipboard corners which I painted white then added MS glitter and a orange Bella bauble. I think I will check out the other designs submitted to get some ideas on how everyone incorporated their chipboard. The main image was coloured with my prisma pencils and gamsol then added some stickles to a few of the golf tees to give some extra sparkle that I soooo soooo love.

Stamp Time!

This weekend hasn't been as busy as last which is perfectly fine by me. By the end of the work week I am mentally exhausted. Saturday was great.........hubby was gone to Windsor to a 5 pin bowling tournament which left me doing laundry and my favourite .....STAMPING.

Here is one of the birthday cards I created for a friend who will be celebrating his birthday on Friday 13th. House Mouse stamps are one of my favourite stamp lines. I received an order about a week ago and haven't had the chance to ink them up so picked this one for the birthday boy. I coloured it with my prisma pencils and used glitter for the martini glass and a bit on the ribbon.
